These are sale prices — what buyers actually paid — not asking prices or automated estimates. Every figure below comes from recorded closings in that ZIP or neighborhood for the period shown.
Data sources & methodology
- Source: Redfin Data Center market tracker — median sale price, median price per square foot, median days on market, homes sold, inventory, months of supply and sale-to-list ratio.
- Cadence: monthly. Metro observations cover a 30-day period; ZIP and neighborhood observations cover a rolling 3-month period (Redfin's publication cadence for smaller geographies). All residential property types.
- Geography: ZIP codes and neighborhoods whose parent metro is Houston, TX.
- Typical home value (metro card only) is the Zillow Home Value Index (ZHVI), a smoothed measure of typical market value — not a median of sales.
- Suppressed data: Redfin suppresses figures for areas with too few sales; those show as "—", never estimated.
